Ever wondered what the seemingly random rank I've gave you means and does? Well look no further. Here is a brief explanation of each rank outside of the key main ones. Note that I will add the pros and cons at a later time .

Exile
Requirement: Commit a high-level crime and be banished, or leave.
Summary: Either you committed a crime against Seireitei or simply left. This is not in the same level as a Betrayer, but its shows that you have done something cause a chip within Seireitei at least once. This rank is not the most vile rank to have, as you can once again become an official Shinigami by helping to restore your reputation in some way. Still, most stay as a Exile once becoming one. Canon rank holder – Urahara and Yoruichi
-Pro: Your character has no need for Seireitei, nor its power. You can get a home on Earth and live how you wish while training in secret. You are not restricted by base laws and chains any more, and have no need for orders.
-Con: Most of the time you will be in a gigai if you are not careful. Exiles are mostly treated badly depending on what they did to become an Exile. A person who committed a crime to protect Seireitei for example will be welcomed. While a Exile who did so for power and darkness will be hunted by the most rage filled of Shinigami.
Wanderer
Requirement:
Summary: A Shinigami or being with no true home. There are many types of people, but not many become a Wanderer. They could possibly hold an attachment to a place, but they freely wander the lands without restriction. They are mostly loners or people looking for a place to have a bit of peace. Shinigami Wanderers possess no Squad, and are counted just a step above Exile in terms of reputation. They either do something on a whim, or a bound oath, yet never both. Lone Wolf
Requirement:
Summary: A person without a friend or companion. A loner who has a set goal in mind and refuses to work with anyone, all while training to become as strong as they can be. Normally dark emotions burn within a holder of this rank, and its rather rare to see a Shinigami become a Lone Wolf. A Lone Wolf is counted as a dangerous opponent by many just for the sheer fact that they fight alone. Canon rank holder – Uryuu Ishida and Ryuken Ishida

Betrayer:
Requirement:
Summary: One of the lowest of the low. A character that betrayed someone or something on a large scale earns this rank. Shinigami that seek to bring down Seireitei, or a Quincy that turns his back on his friends normally gain this rank. For a person with an evil alignment its a thing of perfect, but it can cause damage to a person who strives to help. Canon rank holder – Aizen and Gin
