A feel of beautiful atmosphere spread through the Seireitei like pollen through a spring time field, whisped along the beaten paths on the wings of music, filling the streets. Raian set his back against an old Oak tree, the rising grass bending around his legs and hips, his barefeet spreading at the toes to allow them to pass through the field. His gaze was set on the strings of his guitar, the special acoustic build of a similar wood as the tree he made his resting spot. It was a prized possession of his, obviously, and served a much greater purpose than just entertainment. Where he received it, nobody knew, but Raian knew that without this time, this spiritual release from the outside world that he would never be as mellow as he seemed.

Music soothes the savage beast, afterall.

The sun peaked it's smile through the rustling leaves above him, rays finding their way through the shade, casting small, strangely shaped spotlights all around the young man for his makeshift concert for one, joining him on his lyrical ride, along with his other tool of trade, his Zanpakuto, which rested in it's sheath against the tree right next to the playing musician. A grin easily made his way below the pretty boy's nose, which took in a deep breath, appreciating the warm summer air. Nothing could ruin this moment. Nothing could interupt this almost perfect day of relaxation. This was great.

"AAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

God Damn it. The screech pierced through the calm, guiding Raian's hand into a crash landing upon the strings, a painful twang causing a quick cringe in the shoulders and a tensing of the face. Raian's head bowed, his grip on the neck of his guitar tightening.

"Are you serious?"

His loosened his grip. Chill out man, he kept telling himself in the back of his mind. Now was not the time to get angry. Let's see, what to do? There were two options to choose from. A) Rise to his feet, brush himself off, grab his sword in hand and get ready to investigate what was happening. It wasn't his place, being only a student in all but let's face it, if they praised him for the whole chasing a Hollow situation, so some petty crime or helping, he didn't know, get a cat out of a tree would be no big deal. Then again, there was option B) ignore it and continue to chill, maybe pick his song up back where it....no,no,no, that's not cool. Go see what's happening Raian.

Raian hopped to his feet, rolling his neck to stretch it out the way he always had done, grabbing his guitar in his left hand, his sword in his right. He sighed, this was not the way he wanted to spend his day off, or anyday that is. He Swung the strap of his guitar over his shoulder, and took off at a jog toward the source of the yell.

"AHHHHHHH!!!!!"

Antoher one? Different voice too! This was all Raian needed to hear, he broke his relaxed state, something he never really did, now running at his full speed to the location. Whatever was happening, this was serious. Where were the damn gaurd right now? Wasn't this their job or something? Oh well, too late to stop and hope now.

Shopping districts, gotta love 'em, right? That is, gotta love 'em when there aren't people screaming in terror and seven citizens deciding to "take their economic downfall into their own hands". Bandits, who needs 'em, right? The big guy in the center was obviously the leader, holding the stereotyped eye-scar and short, spiked brown hair. A single sword, basic make at best, held across the throat of a young women, the rest of his "gang" stabbing the air near others with daggers. Cheap threats and basic demands. No wonder the Gotei didn't bother acting, these few chumps weren't even worth it.

"Shinigami! Hear me! Our demands are solid, and we aren't afraid to take life in order to get it! Shinigami!"

Then he arrived on the scene. Raian stood before the "bandits", if one could call them that, their eyes now locking onto him as the panicing citizens became silent, the only sound the whispers in the wind that pushed clouds of dust across their feet. Raian scratched the back of his head, his eyes narrowing as he thought of what to do. This didn't happen often, or at all. They never taught giving orders in class......this was going to be different.

"Hey you! You better......uuuhhhhhh....stop doing what you're doing.....or else!"

"Finally, the Shinigami have arrived! Listen to my demands or I'll take this woman's life!"

Yesh. Raian took a deep breath, exhaling through parted lips and teeth held together.

"Listen, I'm...uhhhhhh....I'm not technically a Shinigami yet. I'm just in the academy. Sorry.....heh."

Maybe that last, nervous laugh was a little too much? the leader of the bunch looked between each other, then locking back on the Shinigami in-training. The leader's face turned red, a vein tensing on his forehead and his bearhug tightened on the girl, causing her to let out a small yelp.

"They sent a rookie?!?! This is as serious as the Gotei 13 take us?!?! Fine then, if we won't receive our rights, we'll receive our deaths, but we won't be going alone! Boys, take this kid out as proof our sins made us stronger!"

A loud roar past from one man to the next, their grip on their weapons tightening, their eyes tensing up with the thirst for young blood. Shit, this was going to get violent. Not exactly what Raian wanted. He surveyed the area. Too many people around, his Shikai would rip them to pieces if he used it here, at such a raw age. Same went for almost all of his offensive techniques, he couldn't be sure that none of the on-lookers would be safe. Even if he told them to run, it would be reckless. They would create a riot, a charge through the sector. Say they did leave in an orderly fashion, these psychos just said they wanted blood! What would stop them from killing innocent civilians? Ahhh man, not good!

Then the other side of reality hit him. These people, even though they were attempting violence against others, were still civilians. He couldn't kill them, not like this. Either way he didn't want to. Murder was so........aggressive, not his style at all, least not on a fellow person. Ah damn, what to do? Think Raian, think!

The first "bandit" charged, dagger in hand. Raian wondered if he knew whether or not these few knew his restrictions or not, but either way Raian knew he had to defend himself. A single thrust shot out, aiming at the chest of the musical student, only to hit air as his target nonchalantely side-stepped his attack. His foot flew into the air, stumbling forward. Raian had left his left leg out, sweeping the attack off of his, sending him to the dirt below. Man, he might get up. That's when it hit him. Restrain the enemies, leave them for the gaurd! BRILLIANT! Raian shot two fingers into the air, swinging his hand down in a dragging motion to the ground. The man he dropped struggled as now his arms and legs were bound together by an unseen rope.

"Bakudou #02, Juusai!"

"Hey! What?!?!"

Raian placed a foot on his first captured opponent, lookng to the rest, placing his right hand on the strap holding his guitar to his back.

"Next?"

Two more men now nodded to each other, charging Raian on either side. Strength in numbers, not a bad idea really. Well, at least they thought it wasn't a bad idea. The first man struck out with a wild downward slash, missing Raian as he tilted his body at an angle, taking a few steps to assure he wouldn't be hit.

"Whoopsie Daisy!"

A quick grasp on the back of the first man's collar pulled him up, slamming him head to head into the other attacker, sending them both to the ground. Two fingers extended again, dragging down, followed again by the same motion as both of the new attackers now lay bound on the ground, face in the dirt.

Now three ran out, all screaming war cries, in hope the rage would make them stronger. Really, they didn't get the situation? Heh, sucks to be them.

"Bakudou #01, Sai!"

Two fingers extended again, aiming at the center attacker who suddenly stopped, unmoving. He struggled to move, the air around him serving as his own personal cage. As he thrashed his shoulders, hoping to move, the others charged with heavier steps.

"How 'bout this? Bakudou #07"

Raian yelled out as he threw both his hands up, forming into a triangle like position.

"SUNASEI!"

The very earth below the two attackers shook, shifting, rising from it's docile state to form walls around them, trapping them inside a cage of their our design. He yelled, banging on the sides, yet nothing was heard.

The leader of the gang looked down at the girl he held, throwing her off to the side. Good, he gave up, now all that was needed to be done was to wait this thing out and hope the gaurd arrived before.....wait, he's getting into a fighting stance? Did he really not get it? Look around dude, your buddies are all locked in position, and you just gave up your only edge, the hostage! dumbass, come get some!

The large man was too big to parry, at least for Raian's sake. His sword was a much larger weapon than the other daggers, and he was obviously in better shape. He'd close the distance faster, swing harder. Those fancy dodges wouldn't work either.

"DIE!"

The first attack was launched, a downward vertical slash. Raian jumped out of the way to the right side, only to duck immediately a horizontal slash. Damn, this guy was quick for your everyday meathead. This is the exact reason why Raian preferred fighting from afar, less chance of being, you know, decapitated! He had to think quickly. Dos oemthing Raian! Just...........hit him! Pulling his fist back as far as he could, Aidoru threw with full force, cracking the man in the nose, dead center, sending him back a bit. Raian landed, proud of his work as he nodded with a big smile on his face, the image slowly fading away as he looked down at his hand.

"OOOOOOOOOUUUCCH!!!!"

This is why he never fought hand-to-hand. Physical work, not really his strong point. He danced around, hoping from foot to foot while shaking his hand, finally letting the pain numb down a bit. He had succeeded......in pissing his attacker off, that is. His face turned red even further, now becoming a deep shade of crimson. He brushed his face off, wiping the small amount of blood from his nose away.

"That kinda hurt kid, not much strength in ya, but your targeting is impressive."

He charged again, this time holding his sword in two hands, pulling the point up to bite Raian. A thrusting motion? He was going to stab him!

"Think fast kid!"

That's exactly what he did. A flash, both men collided, the sound of......splintering wood? Time froze for just a moment, everything around them just seemed to fade to nothing, the coming back into reality in one sharp motion. Raian's eyes met with his challenger's, then went down to the scene of the attack, widening when he realized what he had used to block said onslaught. With split-second thinking and the use of instinct, it was not his Katana that had diverted the thrust, but rather.......

"MY GUITAR!!!!!!!"

He locked eyes once again with his opponent, seeing his blade snap through the wood of his instument. Hegritted his teeth, pulling it to dislodged the blade from his enemy's hand,a nd send it flying across the street into the dirt. the mans tumbled back, falling, before raising back to his feet to meet the angry stare of Raian, who held out a single finger. This man was the ringleader, he held a hostage. Pain was much deserved here. Plus.........HE BROOKEN HIS DAMN GUITAR!

"HADOU #03, SOGEKI!"

A single shot launched form his finger tip, invisible to the eye like a phantom, phasing into reality to reap the souls of the living. In an instant, the man fell to his back. His shin had been punctured, imploded. Skin seared, bone cracked, fat bubbled and burned away. He rolled on the earth, screaming in agony as tears welled up in his eyes....the same way they did in Raian's. HE held the destroyed remains of his guitar in his hands like a lost child.

"Bastard, do you know how long this is going to take to fix?!?!"

He had enough, his day was ruined. He turned to one of the many cowaring onlookers.

"Somebody call the damn gaurd, tell 'em they have attempted murderers they need to deal with!"

With that, Raian stormed off, marching with anger in his steps as he yelled and muttered ahte-filled words into the air, leaving behind restrained and bested opponents. The day had been saved, the battle won, but screw that, look at his guitar!

Title: "Sparring Again?!?!"

Light cracked through the blackened skies, as the fury of the storm displayed it's power to the citizens of the Seireitei. Water fell in uncountable amounts of droplets, rolling over the wooden structues, nothing standing in their way between themselves and the ground. Rain has been known to have a powerful effect on emotions, pushing them in one of two directions. One being the relaxing, calmed state. The Rhythmic marching on the rooftops and walkways meeting the waves inside the mind can send one into a hypnotic state, the beat taking the listener away to a far off land in their subconcious. The other is depressive. The gloomy, gray hue on everything, the lack of light. It's all pretty somber really, but these two factors don't necessarily tie into the lives of everyone. Some have the ability to break past the barrier, not letting the rain ruin their day.

Enter the new scene, the various dorms set-up and assigned to the students of the Shinigami Acdemy. Hundreds upon hundrends of aspiring soul reapers have named these facilities home, and the new generation of in-training Shinigami were no acception. The love of aiding their home, the Seireitei, as well as the wandering and lost spirits of the world of the living could only be rivaled in their heart by their love of battle. The heightened states of adrenaline, the clashing of two souls with the full knowledge that one of them would be torn asunder before the clash was over, the animalistic li-......is that.....music?

Yes, even though the comments did indeed apply to many of the students here at the academy, a few felt otherwise, and in this category we find the star actor of this slice of our presentation. Enter the sounds of a singing Guitar, brought to life by the skillful hands of one student, resting inside his academy dorm, the sliding door entrance wide open to the falling rain. The repeating patter upon the cobblestone walkway infront of the door kept the tempo of the soft tune, each note kissing the ear like the golden harp of an angel.

Raian sat up on his bed, using the wall on the right-hand side for levrage as he plucked away at the strings of his guitar, his musical instrument of choice. What was once a proud, majestic tool of the arts now resembled something composed by the hands of a mad scientist from the long lost pieces of instruments past. A wood adhesive locked pieces of of various origins together, oak, pine, cedar. Usually the sound would be heavily affected by the use of such basic repairs, but even with the strange mixing the tuning was unaffected. He had heard that the rioting group of angered citizens had been sentenced to death for their threats of murder and treason against the seireitei. Good, served them right for what they had done. It was a shame though, they could've just brought their case to the captains, maybe someone would have heard them out. Violence, why does everyone always resort to violence to get what they want?

He wasn't off the hook just yet, though. Rumor had spread that when asked for the name, squad and rank of the Shinigami which saved the marketplace, the civillians had mentioned it was an academy student who had much skill in Kidou arts. That narrowed it down to a small group, but what put the nail in the coffin was the description of the student. Red highlighted brown hair, a lazy demeanor and carrying a guitar. That brought it down to one. When Raian first had heard the news, he expected praise, maybe even some time off. That would've been great, be of course, all his actions did was piss his professors off. Ever since the hollow attack they were all over him. You're too reckless, too quick to act, too blah, blah, blah, blah. Raian was sure they'd have his ass for this one, but whatever, he did the right thing........he hoped.

Raian continued to fiddle with the strings, stopping for a few seconds and turning to a a pad of paper that rested next to him. He picked up the writing untensil, a quill and ink bottle, gotta love the budget and feudal japan feel they theme this place after. A dip into the black substance and a scribbling on the paper left the remains of the very same song, almost one-hundred percent completed, forever living......well, until the paper was thrown out, you know what I mean.

Looking to the ceiling, Raian pulled on a few more strings, a quick burst of soothing sounds ringing in the air, hanging for a passing moment, then fading away.

"Naw, not good enough......"

A new series was played, even calmer, peaceful notes beckoned the relaxation of those in hearing distance, but they would not meet their purpose, displayed by the disappointed face of Aidoru. Raian followed this with a sigh, removing his hands from playing position and resting his forearms ontop of the musical tool.

"C'mon Raian what're you doin' man? You're beter than this."

"Hey Raian!"

A call of a young male, his voice just beginning to deepen, came from the front door of the dorm room. Another student, dressed in traditional Academy robes, ducked into the room. His deep black hair stuck to his head, slicked down by the rain water, his robes the same with his body. He brushed himself off, looking up to the owner of the name he had just called.

"Hey Gekko, how goes man?"

"Oh man, you haven't heard have you?!?!"

Damn, guess it was about that time. Something always had to come and ruin his good mood.

"No, no I haven't."

The young student known as Gekko brushed his hair back, it now spiking up just slightly. He placed his hands on his hips, taking in a few deep breaths before speaking again, obviously just come from running in the rain.

"The Professors were chewed out for that stunt you pulled at the marketplace, they said you're going to pay for it in the worst way. They're....making you spar today."

SPARRING! Awww maaaaaaan! Couldn't they just, like, kill him or something like that? Damn it all! Rain threw his head back, whining like a scolded child, before looking back at his friend.

"They took my vacation time, great. This is what I get for being a nice guy...........so who am I facing, exactly? Shio, Keji, Karasu?"

Gekko diverted his gaze from his friend, choking on the words he was about to speak, before letting out the identity of Raian's opponent in a timid whisper.

"Ummmmmm, uuuuhhhhh..........Jishin."

Raian's hand snapped on his guitar, his eyes widening as he shot a gaze of disbelief to his associate.

"Jishin?!?!"

"Uhhhh, yeah."

"As in giant, muscle-bound behemoth Jishin?!?!"

"Yeeeeeeah."

"As in giant, muscle-bound behemoth who hates my guts and wants to kill me, Jishin?!?!"

"The questions aren't making this any better, Raian. They want you on the battlefield right now. They even informed every student on the academy grounds to come watch. I think they intend to cripple you, man. This is way past simple training!"

Raian let the moment catch up with him. So this was his reward, huh? He takes time out of his day to help someone, not just help, but save the day so to speak. How many lives were protected that day? He thought every move out before he had executed them......not counting the shot to the ring leader's shin, that was a strike taken in the heat of the moment. They called his moves reckless? Maybe, but in his reckless actions others could live another day. These higher ups in the Seireitei only see rules as rules, and that's something Raian did not share with them. Now he had to fight a monster.

"Oh, one more thing."

Raian had shook off his mask of deep thinking, making eye contact once again with Gekko.

"What, exactly, would that be?"

Gekko shared a sigh, shockingly not from Raian this time, before breaking the bad news to Raian.

"The Professors agreed that your Kidou is too violent, that you could seriously hurt, not just Jishin, but the students watching the fight too. They banned them from use."

That was it. No Kidou? Raian couldn't fight this guy hand to hand. He was a physical specimen, Raian was....not, easy as at. No minus the use of binding kidou and Raian was left with one choice. He didn't like it, especially with an opponent being another student. Shit, he had no other choice.

"Heh......they just want to watch me squirm for getting the gaurd mad at them, don't they? Well.........guess they're waiting."

Raian stood up from his bed, placing his guitar down where he just sat. He walked across the small room, picking up his katana which leaned in the corner, it's own place of honor and respect. He placed it on his side, taking a few moments to collect his thoughts before placing his hands in his pockets.

"Let's get this over with."

He then left the room without speaking another word, ducking under the white cloth piece over the entry way, and disappearing into the gray emptiness that was the downpour.

____________________________________________________________________________________

"LET'S GO JISHIN!"

"EAT HIM ALIVE, BIG MAN!"

"SHOW HIM WHO'S BOSS!"

Raging cheers filled the air, digging down to the very source of anger within the body, and pulling out all contents residing there into full-view. Faces turned red with muscle stress, throats scratched with the excess yelling of the on-looking crowd. The battle grounds were exactly as described, the perfect setting for fights to take place. Large walls rose up around them to heights that blocked all view beyond them from those within the arena, the top lined with multiple seating arrangements, filled to the brim with students upon students, each one letting their fellow citizens know what was on their mind.

A large Canopy rested in the center of it all, each Professor and teacher of the Academy finding their place underneath it all, coming to watch the source of their scolding get his just desserts. They escaped the rain, falling down on all the students, washing the walls to a deep white, but in the heat of the moment it didn't matter. Their jeers echoed through the opened space, down to the two standing in the center of the field.

The trees placed around them rustled in the storm, their leaves shivering with each droplet tackling their branches. The awaiting earth beneath their feet chruned, turning into a muddy pool, the grass settling on top sliding with the two pairs of feet facing each other.

"Ha, it's about time I got my shot at you Aidoru!"

A single voice called out, silencing the crowd. The silence remained, the only sound the rain finishing it's journy to the ground. The giant form of Jishin stood before them all, his heavily muscled body clothed in a tight black robe, probably to show off his mentioned muscles. Big guys love to brag about how big they really are. It's pathetic.

The silence remained, the rain rushing over the still form of the in-training "slacker" Shinigami. He brought his right hand up, brushing the slicked hair away from his eyes, now locking on his enemy. Out of everything Raian had pictured himself doing on such a relaxed day, fighting against a brute with severe hatred for the praise he had received from his fellow students and teachers. That all didn't really matter now, seeing as they all wanted to see him hurt, the faculty for his reckless endangerment of their reputation, the students.......well, when have you ever met a student who didn't enjoy a school yard brawl?

"Pride is a deadly possession, Jishin. I've never done anything to you, but here you are wanting to tear my skull out of my face. What's this for? Jealousy, perhaps?"

The massive build of Jishin moved as he laughed out, the bellowing of his lungs overpowering the march of the rain. Lightning cracked the sky once again, soon followed by a boom of thunder.

"Jealousy of what, Aidoru?Your Kidou prowess? As you've heard that's not a factor here! Then again, maybe you mean your precious released Zanpakuto?"

His laughter only grew louder as he drew the nodachi on his back, holding it out with one hand, the point aimed at his target.

"You're about to discover that that no longer matters, as well."

Raian tilted his head. So the idiot finally learned the name of his Zanpakuto. Hmph, well he never saw that one coming, then again what're the greatest things in life but surprises? Jishin held his sword high above his head, gathering the boiling testosterone and fury in his body, letting it all combust with a wild war cry.

"Charge with wild force, Teragado!"

Light flashed, accompanied by another shot of lightning. When the blinding effect wore off, the newly formed weapon of Raian's opponent displayed itself. Red tassels feel from a giant war-hammer resting on the end of a long pole. Jishin spung the weapon twice, stomping forward as the ground beneath his feet blasted up, two large pillars of stone appearing on both sides.

"With this bad boy, the very forces of Mother Nature bends to my will! The earth has become my slave!"

Raian viewed the occurance, now knowing that this fight had reached a new level of danger. He never broke his standing position, only removed his sword from it's sheath, twisting it to hold the hilt upside down.

"DIE AIDORU!"

A swing of the massive hammer sent it driving into the rock and soil below, a wave of energy blasting through in the form of spikes, rising from the ground. A single hand rose above Raian's hand, his eyes locked on the oncoming attack, before slamming his fist down at the last second.

"SING BEAUTIFUL AGONY, TATARI SASAYAKI!"

Then the sound of intense shattering broke through the air, light blinding the eyes, and leaving the field as Raian now stood, his guitar-like weapon around his form, ready to do battle. He didn't want it to come down to this, but his safety was his safety, and he had to protect himself. The two stood at a staredown before the second attack was launched.

Jishin's hammer slammed into the ground once again, a ripping shockwave of power swarming the open field, plates of earth raging up into the air to impale their master's enemy. Shattering, cracking, and the earth was blown into the air by yet another note and sonic burst, leaving a crater within a forest of ragged terrain which began to slowly fill in with rain water.

"Looks like you learned a new trick, big man. Too bad for you............so did I."

The on-looking teahcers began to speak between each other. What was he talking about? He had no new tricks, all he did was make things go boom with music! He was bluffing! Wait.....no it wasn't possible. It all clicked at that one moment, Raian had mastered his abilities in the first released state!

Raian's hand slammed down on the strings and his form leapt into the air, higher than ever seen before thanks to the sonic boom admitted below his position, blasting hundreds upon hundreds of raindrops in every possible direction. Using the same technique, Raian propelled himself over a large spike rising from the ground, much to Jishin's dismay.

"STAY STILL AND DIE ALREADY!"

Jishin charged, his hammer behind his head like a baseball bat, both hands gripped upon the hilt. Raian landed, he too running at his enemy at full speed. An upward swing of the hammer launched a wave of spikes at Raian who slammed on the strings, smashing the spikes to pieces, and launching himself into the air.

Jishin roared out of sheer blood thirst, scanning the now torn up field for his prey, the various spikes rising up at different heights blocking much of his view.

"WHERE ARE YOU?!?!"

"Hey meathead!"

Jishin thrashed his head around, trying to find the source of the voice.

"Up here!"

The muscled neck of Jishin snapped up to find the source of the voice. Raian had found watching this mindless animal entertaining, and had taken a seat between two spikes, propping himself up with his back and feet.

"You think this is funny?!?!"

"A little, actually, yeah."

"I'LL GIVE YOU SOMETHING TO LAUGH ABOUT!"

A clenched right fist pulled to Jishin's side, the grip on his hammer pulling to the left, and his body lowered into a squatting position. The very earth below them began to shake, the students holding on to the bottom of their seats. Crackes formed within the ground, pebbles rumbling off of their ledges, pillars crumbling to the very foundation they were born from. The cracks spread to the walls, rising up them like veins within a body. Jishin's face turned bright red. He was ready to take this entir ebuilding down, just to eliminate someone he was just kinda jealous of. What is this, some kind of screwed up Anime?

He had to act fast. This was now, not only a fight for his own well being, but a mission to protect the masses that came to watch him get his head caved in, heh, talk about a twist of fate. Raian pushed himself up, landing his feet on the tips of the two spikes he sat between, thinking of what to do.

If he nailed him with a sonic boom, it wouold serve the purpose well, but Jishin would just get pissed and try even harder. That's just adding to the problem. What to do, what to.........wait. Moments from that day played like a recapping movie in his subconcious. Music soon followed. The same hypnotic sounds he had played. He heard the song as he slid down the spike, now wet from the rain. It kept playing, and continued. THAT WAS IT! THE ENDING! He heard every note, the final pieces of the puzzle.

Raian took a deep breath, ignoring the man-made earthquake around him. The sounds of his classmates screaming faded to nothing, his concentration was too deep. A rare occassion for Raian, but needed right now. THERE IT WAS!

Raian's fingers crawled over the neck of his zanpakuto, notes rapidly firing off into the air, the very open space around it all densening. Then something which had never been seen before in Raian's history occured. An aura emerged around his frame in a glowing white, spiritual power rising out of his very pours into the air, the pillars his feet rested on cracking further, then exploding, allowing Raian to fall to his feet on the shattering ground.

The song continued, and as it did, the shaking began to calm. Jishin's muscles loosened, his teeth no longer crushing together. His form slumped over, only to pick himself up again to continue the technique. Raian continued to play, the aura growing larger, now smashing into the earth beneath him. Then the final cord struck, and Jishin dropped to his knees, his face smashing into the floor before him, a trickle of blood exiting from his chin, split open from the impact.

"That, my friend, was a little number I call Sasayaki surīpingu, sleeping whispers, and you're the first to hear it."

He smirked, his zanpakuto converting back to it's original state. Raian looke dup to the professors, now wide-eyed and panicing on what to do next. Raian savored victory, then looked down to his arm. Red. Blood. Same on his legs, his other arm, his chest. He reached up and placed two fingers on his cheek, pulling them away to view them. More blood.

Guess those shards didn't fly away like he thought, he just was too busy to notice. Heh.......

Raian fell forward, his sword clanging on the ground at the same time his body did, falling unconscious within seconds. It may not have been the way he wanted it, but finally, Raian was able to get some rest.
