Zanpaktou Shikai: A long, black sword appearing to be made of crystal (like
Inuyasha's Adamant Tetsegua but black) It freezes the one it strikes in black
ice, and can fire black ice shards that freeze the opponent on impact.
Zanpaktou Bankai: Kage Hyouten Kurokyoujin- A giant serpent made of black ice. It charges the opponent, almost at its own will, and freezes those it touches in black ice. The tip of its tail is attached to a glove that Akio wears when in Bankai, and is used like a dagger for close combat. Aside from the glove, the only visual change Akio undergoes in Bankai is that his hair gets black highlights, almost as if a part of him is fused with the Zanpaktou. His Bankai is also very limited. When he is in Bankai, Akio’s Reiatsu fuses with his Zanpaktou's, which he takes advantage of by doubling his speed.
Unlike most Bankai which fuse all but completely with their wielder, Kage Hyouten is an independent Zanpaktou that is able to act on its own. A rare bread of Zanpaktou which is sealed into its sword form, these Zanpaktou seek out Shinigami who can master their abilities and release the seal. In exchange, they lend their power and support to their “partners” which is said to grant them more Reiatsu.
History: Akio was always known as a bit of a show off. He had strong reiatsu
at an early age and wasn't against showing it. He entered the Shinigami
Academy on a dare and was skipped forward for learning his sword's name and
developing his skills while still a student. He's cocky, but serious when
pushed to be, and always rises to any challenge.
